Red Breasted Nuthatch

Nuthatch-5443The nuthatch population seems to be thriving as there are many at our feeders every day. They flit so quickly its hard to 'catch' them in a photo. I'm grateful that this one paused briefly, and posed in such a classic nuthatch posture. As a bonus for this shot, we can see something of what he's caught for his lunch.

  1. I visited your booth at the market in late September with my girlfriends and we spoke about mountain bluebirds. I would love to send you some shots of these birds and hope you one day get to see them in person. Love these nuthatches.

    1. Thanks so much, Connie, for being in touch. I’d love to see some photos of the mountain bluebirds. You can email me a link or the photos. I’ll send an email to you so you’ve got my direct email address. All good wishes and happy bird watching.
