  1. A stunning photo! The contrasts between rock and water, sharp edges and smooth forms are amazing. Water presents challenges in deciding what shutter speed to use to focus attention on the flow over time or the instant event. You have done a great job here in making the water seem almost as solid as the rock — I can’t figure out how you did it, but it is wonderful.

    1. Thank you so much, Brian, for your thoughtful observation and comment. I’m not quite sure how I did it either… I’ll have a think about it. I did shoot RAW and then up the contrast, and shift the balance of light and dark in parts so I could get the photo to ‘express’ what I saw. But I’ll think about anything else I might have done. Thanks again!
